Anxiety & Stress Therapy for Women
Does it feel like you’re constantly “catching up” in life?
Life feels hectic. If you’re not worrying about one thing, it’s another. You struggle to stay present because your mind is filled with racing thoughts about what may or may not happen. You may feel on edge, overwhelmed, tired, and distracted.
Maybe you’re going through something that is considered a positive transition, but you feel overwhelmed and scared instead. You might even feel depressed because you want to enjoy this time, but you can’t seem to get there. You’re frustrated that feelings of anxiety put a damper on even happy moments.

Do you constantly feel the need to be doing something, like working?
Maybe you feel an internal drive to accomplish something. Resting might feel unattainable or uncomfortable, even though some part of you is yearning for this.
Maybe your career allows for flexibility in your schedule. You could use your time to relax and recharge but, instead, you have a long list of things you feel compelled to do instead. It’s hard to control your worries. The more you try, the harder it seems to be. You’re exhausted to your core and frustrated that life always feels like a rat race.
A part of you feels like life shouldn’t have to be this hard. You feel like you’re on overdrive and now it’s affecting your body. You may experience physical distress, such as difficulty breathing, muscle tension, heart palpitations, poor concentration, sleep disturbances, or even panic attacks, which further intensify your worrying.
Dealing with anxiety can be so confusing and overwhelming. It can affect everything from your day-to-day mood to your relationships and work performance. Maybe you wake up each morning and have a to-do list racing through your mind. You’d love to relax but nothing seems to help. You try to go to sleep at night, but you’re already worrying about tomorrow, and the vicious cycle continues.

Anxiety shouldn’t rule your life.
Imagine what it would feel like to have peace in your mind and body. You’re able to be present in life and feel grounded. Life feels manageable and enjoyable.
You have a healthy balance between resting and working. To-do lists no longer run through your mind. You feel in control and confident in managing what the day may bring.
No matter what you’re going through, you are not alone. Whether you’ve dealt with anxiety your whole life or just recently, help is available. If you are committed to the process, you can experience the peace, calm, and clarity you deserve. No one should feel like they’re drowning in a sea of coulds, shoulds, and what-ifs.
Anxiety therapy can help live your best life.
Research shows that therapy is usually the most effective option when treating anxiety. That’s because anxiety therapy – as opposed to anxiety medication – treats more than just symptoms.
symptoms of anxiety:
Feelings of danger, panic, or dread
Nervousness, restlessness, or being tense
Rapid breathing or hyperventilation
Increased or heavy sweating
Trembling or muscle twitching
Weakness or lethargy
Difficulty focusing or thinking clearly about anything other than the thing you’re worried about
Insomnia
Obsessions about certain ideas
Anxiety surrounding a particular life event or experience that has occurred in the past
Therapy can help to uncover the underlying causes of your worries and fears.
Learn how to relax, look at situations in a new, less frightening way, and develop better coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills.
Therapy Approaches We Use for Deep, Lasting Healing
EMDR Therapy
If past memories still trigger overwhelming emotions, EMDR therapy helps your brain reprocess them in a way that removes their power over you.
IFS Therapy
If part of you wants to heal, but another part resists, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy helps you understand and work with these inner conflicts so you feel more balanced.
Individual Therapy
Because trauma isn’t just stored in the mind, but also in the body, specialized individual therapy will help you reconnect with a sense of safety and peace.

Questions or concerns about anxiety therapy?
-
Yes! More often than not, our clients can’t identify the “source” of their struggle…and that’s okay! There are so many factors that can impact anxiety. Your therapist will help you identify and hold curiosity about your triggers, which is a crucial step in managing them.
Our therapists work primarily from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) perspective and will help you safely explore your anxious parts so that you have a better understanding of them and feel more in control and at peace.
-
Our therapists specialize in evidence-based modalities, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and EMDR therapy.
During your complimentary 15-minute consultation, we will talk more about what you are looking for, how we might be able to help you, and answer any questions you may have. At the end our our call, we’ll share our recommendations for treatment and provide you with one of our therapists that best fit your needs, or we’ll provide you with a referral if we feel another therapist may be a better fit.
-
Use pre-tax dollars, such as a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for therapy if those funds are available
Look to your employer (or your spouses) to check if you have an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that will cover the bill for a set number of sessions
Talk to your tax preparer to see if you’d be able to deduct therapy from your taxes as an out-of-pocket health expense.
Understand that therapy is an investment in yourself and your relationships and compare the financial cost to the possible long-term emotional costs
Talk to your insurance company about out-of-network benefits. A mental health diagnosis is required for reimbursement, however, if you aren’t concerned about a diagnosis on your permanent medical record and your insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, we can provide you with documentation for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. We specifically hold 53-minute sessions (90837) so insurance will reimburse you the highest amount. Here are some helpful questions to ask:
What is my out-of-network deductible?
How much of my out-of-network deductible has been met?
What is my coinsurance?
What are the reimbursement rates for CPT codes 90791-95 and 90837-95?
How do I submit for reimbursement?
How long do I have to submit a Superbill?
It is your responsibility to call your insurance provider to inquire about out-of-network benefits.
Reimbursement is not guaranteed and you are responsible for full payment at the time of services.
